Benefits (US)
Medical:
Medical insurance for Monotype Imaging employees and their families is provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. We offer two different plan structures: a traditional PPO plan and a high-deductible PPO plan with a company funded Healthcare Reimbursement Account.
Dental:
Dental insurance is also provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and is a comprehensive dental coverage meant to provide a wide range of benefits to suit your dental care needs.
Flexible Spending Accounts:
Flexible Spending Accounts are offered to employees for both Healthcare and Dependent Care expenses. The maximum annual contribution for Healthcare is $2500 and for Dependent Care is $5000. This plan offers the debit card option for added convenience.
Short-Term & Long-Term Disability:
Both Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) are fully paid benefits by Monotype Imaging. The STD benefit pays 100 percent of salary for the first 30 calendar days and 66 2/3 percent for the next 60 calendar days. LTD coverage begins after 90 calendar days out of work and pays a monthly benefit of 66 2/3 percent of salary.
Basic Life and AD&D Insurance:
Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance is also fully paid by the company.
Supplemental Life Insurance:
Employees have the option to buy additional life insurance up to three times their annual salary through our Supplemental Life Insurance plan.
401(k):
Helping to prepare employees for retirement is important to Monotype Imaging. Employees may contribute up to 50 percent of their annual salary to a 401(k) account and Monotype will match dollar for dollar up to six percent of the employee’s salary.
Tuition Reimbursement:
Monotype Imaging is committed to supporting professional development for our employees who want to pursue higher education on a part-time basis and achieve a degree that is related to their current or future career at Monotype Imaging. We offer tuition reimbursement for all approved courses after obtaining a grade of C or better.
Paid Time Off (US)
Vacation Time:
Employees accrue three weeks of vacation time per year. After 10 years of service, employees accrue four weeks of vacation time per year.
Company Holidays:
There are 10 company holidays scheduled throughout the year.
Discretionary Holidays:
Employees are granted three discretionary holidays at the start of each year that can be used anytime throughout the year at the employee’s discretion.
Maternity, Paternity, Adoption Leave:
Employees who have a new child, either through birth or adoption, are granted one week of paid leave to spend time with their newest family member.
